We are so excited to be part of your journey to find your new companion! We help homeless/unwanted dogs and cats from small shelters and shelterless communities along the Rio Grande from Sierra Blanca, TX to Sanderson, TX. We have a national adoption program and pride ourselves on making thoughtful, successful connections.

All OTAT-WTX pets are well-assessed; most become available for adoption after settling into foster homes where we learn loads about them. With rare exception, our pets are fully vetted before becoming available to adopt.

There is $150 adoption fee (for dogs and cats); if adopting a pair of kittens, the adoption fee is $200). In case of financial hardship, a limited number of adoption fees are sponsored by donors.
