About this dog: Western is a fluffy, large-framed heeler type from the Presidio Animal Shelter. He has his puppy moments but he’s also got that super great “big-dog, low-key” vibe. He is in foster with other dogs and cats (including his brother Smitten) and doing great with both. He spent a week with a 8 year old (it’s summer vacation!) and was comfortable and appropriate. Western loves pets, chewing on bones, getting his paws wet in the kiddie pool, eating, and couch time! He’s a standard issue puppy without all the mayhem (well, just a little mayhem). His house training and leash training are going great and he’s ready to find a loving home!

Foster Testimonial: “Western is a wonderful puppy who is eager to learn and seems uncommonly even-keeled. His ability to self entertain through the long, hot, West Texas afternoon suggests an old soul in this good boy. He will no doubt thrive in almost any loving family.”
