One Tail at at Time - West Texas (OTAT-West Texas) invites you to join us for a celebration of the pets and people of our region. After 6 years of rescuing pets as volunteers under the name ‘The Underground Dog’, we’re so proud to join our sister organizations in Portland (OTAT-PDX) and Chicago (One Tail at a Time) to become OTAT-West Texas, a staffed rescue with an expanded mission to help 7 area shelters and shelterless communities across 9 West Texas counties.

More big news: we are officially making Marfa our center of operations! Together we have made an incredible impact on animal welfare. We are excited for all the good people and good pets we will meet as we continue this good work to be an enduring resource for our area. We hope to see you!
