About this dog: Ellie is an awesome dog who loves long walks and equally enjoys relaxing and kicking back on the couch. She is very social and adores people, including all the kids she has met! Ellie is generally great on a leash, though she does get a little excited when she comes across local wildlife (rabbits, mostly). She is a big, happy personality and has loads of charm. Ellie is very smart and very gentle. She has proven to love learning and quickly picked up sit and shake; she is eager to learn more! She also plays fetch and is getting more and more interested in her toys. Ellie is great in the house (totally house trained) and can be left to her own devices while her foster is at work, choosing to while the hours away by peacefully napping on the couch. Ellie can be cautious at first around other dogs, but warms up after an initial meeting. She prefers other gentle dogs. Ellie is very comfortable in the car and is up for any/all adventures. Ellie’s other favorite activities are: snuggling, belly rubs, earning Milk Bones and quality time with her frozen yogurt Kongs. Being a husky, she gets overheated in the Texas heat but otherwise has good energy in the cool (ish) morning and evenings.

Foster Testimonial: “Ellie is a total sweetheart with a huge amount of charm. If I had the capacity to adopt her, I would in a heartbeat. She is great friend who loves long walks followed by snuggles on the couch. It’s been pure joy to watch her enjoy being a happy dog with me in foster.”
