About this dog: May is a gentle dog who has been loving the foster life. She has been living with dogs and cats and though she isn’t particularly playful, she takes great comfort in their company. She is good both on and off leash, and never misses the chance to go for a walk. She is housetrained, silent, has no separation or storm anxiety, and can be left alone without any problems. She sleeps in the bedroom at night on her dog bed. She loves treats, will occasionally initiate contact for some pets, and has no problem sharing space, food, attention or “stuff.” She is a bit nervous in the car and quite shy meeting new people. She seeks a quiet life with kindred homebodies. May came to OTAT-WTX from the Presidio Animal Shelter, where she had been surrendered with a large male German Shepherd.

Foster Testimonial:May loves her reliable routines around the house, a long daily walk, and seeking affection on her own terms. In many ways, she’s incredibly easy, and our wish for her forever home includes another gentle dog(s), equally gentle guardians, and the freedom for her to be herself with encouragement to continue to grow.
