About this dog: Homer was trapped as a street dog in Van Horn but has quickly taken to the comforts of living indoors. He is still a bit shy and working on his leash skills, but he’s checked off tons of other achievements: house trained (he rings a bell to be let out!), kennel trained, loves other dogs (needs one in his forever home), great snuggler, polite treat-taker, quiet, non-destructive, and so good-natured. He has short legs and those spotty ears make us swoon. Homer doesn’t want to go to the brewery or to be the dog of the hostess with the mostest, but he will thrive in a quiet home with a yard and a buddy to continue the work of becoming his most self-assured.

Foster Testimonial: “Homer is a shy guy who quickly gets comfortable at home and prefers to stay where his routines are familiar. He loves ear scratches and belly rubs and the companionship of other dogs. He’s an easy addition to a family with mellow habits and lots of love to give a dog who appreciates extra reassurance.”
