About this dog: Whiskey is a young and energetic puppy looking for a forever home. He is learning to be a great companion quickly, for example, he learned house training in less than two weeks (gives a slight whine or goes to the side door when he is ready). He recalls his name well, is doing great on a leash (leash training!), and is further cementing his basic commands (sit, leave it, and come here, just to name a few). He is currently being fostered at a home with two other active blue heelers and is learning to be a good and respectful dog buddy. After a day of activity, he will go into his wire crate without a fuss to take his day nap (crate training!). His chewing habits are manageable and are easily redirected towards appropriate toys or chews. He frequently joins his foster family for car rides to the university or other public venues and also loves daily walks, being a model dog citizen. With his foster mates, he’ll chase the ball and have a good time running around in the back yard. While initially bashful and cautious, he is opening up as a great dog and gaining confidence. Did we say he also loves to snuggle on a couch? Whiskey would love a home with one or two buddies, as he is super social with dogs as well as people. Reach out for more information on Whiskey!
Foster Testimonial: Whiskey has been a pleasure to foster and has taken quickly to our daily and active routine with our two adult heelers. He was bashful at first but his personality has started to come out, and he’s a goofball who wants to play a lot and do fun stuff. He really likes being part of the family and group activities. He’ll make a future family proud!
